The death toll in Haiti has reached nearly 900 and is likely to rise further as rescue workers reach places that have been cut of for days. Many homes have been flattened or severely damaged. The hospital in the town of Les Anglais has had its roof blown off and landslides have blocked roads. Many crops have been destroyed.
Thousands of people are now homeless, and some people have already died from cholera. Haiti has been battling a cholera epidemic since since 2010 when drinking water became infected with raw sewage.
Four people have been reported dead in Florida.
